CMS Educational Director Matteo Randi is the only working artist in the United States that teaches the ancient Ravenna technique. This 2000 year old method will give students the opportunity to create mosaics using the clay transfer method. You will be given specific instruction in the use of the hammer and hardie, using smalti and marble. This course is intended to improve your skills with the hammer and hardie as well as learn this ancient technique that is used today by working artists throughout Italy. Materials and use of tools are included with cost of class. Class is limited to 10 students.
