This new five day workshop focuses on working on one piece together. Using a wide variety of materials such as marble, smalti, glass, rocks, glass, metals, etc., we will complete one large mosaic panel measuring 2 by 5 feet. The design will be provided by the instructor, with student participants rotating and working on a different section at each class. The goal of the workshop is to complete the mosaic; the challenge will be to understand the way each participant is interpreting the cartoon and be able to meld it effectively. Progress of  the project will be photo documented with each participant receiving a digital copy. The finished mosaic will remain property of CMS. Prior experience using the hammer and hardie is required. class size is limited to 6.
